Football Season, Outstanding Young Alumni Award

Fellow Yellow Jackets,

The time is upon us and football season is here! I know each of you has been on the edge of your seat in anticipation to tailgate with friends, cheer on the team, and most importantly sing the fight song on key. For many of you, this will be your first time enjoying football season from the alumni perspective, and you’re probably extremely excited to cheer alongside the seasoned fans of Tech for their first home game against Wofford. Whether you’re catching a or road tripping to the Tulane game in New Orleans, there’s sure to be plenty of opportunities to reunite with alumni.

Speaking of kickoff , the highly anticipated and popular by SAA is back and recruiting more talented and young alumni to lead tomorrow’s leaders. For just a fraction of time over the course of a year, you too can give back to Tech in a huge way. We all can remember what it was like to hobble our way through Tech. Think of how great it would have been to have a recent alum reach out, and help you along the way. In my experience, many students are just looking for some helpful tips and advice. You don’t have to be at the peak of your career or Forbes' list of 20 under 20. If anything, just talking once a month, lending an ear or motivating a student is all that’s needed...

Tech Graduate Finds a Place in Front of the Camera, Not the Lab

When most people think Georgia Tech, they think engineering and industry rather than acting and fine arts. But Jessica Luza, STC 07 went against the grain in her time at Tech, and today is working as a professional actress and writer.

From the time she made her decision to become an actress, Jessica knew the potential challenges that lay ahead of her. She was in the international bachelorette program at Campbell High School and graduated a semester early; Jessica then moved to LA for the "pilot" season from January to May. There she had an agent, a manager and received a lot of great feedback. But the experience also taught her that she needed to prepare for the future in all aspects of life...

Join us in kicking off the Football season with our first home game against Wofford.

Cheer alongside new and seasoned fans alike and catch a game watching party!
