Tech Beautification Day

If you are like me, the idea of ice and a city shut down sound like a great way to enjoy a Netflix marathon. However, once day two hits and the cabin fever settles in, fresh air and getting out become a high priority quickly. Fortunately, the sun has reappeared and its actually beginning to feel like what an Atlanta winter should be. Nowhere more evident is that than on our campus, where ice and snowfall not only prevented classes, but even worse, the library closed. Oh the horror! Still, as the Tech green begins to flourish and the pollen prepares for its takeover, there is no better way than to experience this blooming than to take part in Tech Beautification Day. TBD, as I’m sure many of you remember, is another exciting opportunity to give back to the campus we once called home for the annual “spring cleaning”. This event not only gives you an opportunity to see the evolving campus, but also to interact and connect with students and other alumni. The event takes place on March 29th, so be sure and sign up with the Young Alumni Council .

Don’t forget, your beloved GT Gold is always looking for fresh, new faces to profile in our alumni spotlight. Know anybody that’s done anything exciting since graduating? Have you or any of your friends chartered a new course in life? Then feel free to Tell us your story .

As always, the council is continuing to organize and plan for you, so feel free to contact me with your ideas.

The organization works with underserved students to provide opportunities in literacy and leadership to foster development in areas in which they may not otherwise get to excel...
